THE-NOT-SO-PREPPY

In PERSONAL STYLE, TUTORIAL

Honestly, I don’t even know what I would name this outfit. But if I have to, I’ll call it the boy-meet-girl-casual-preppy… phew! I put this style together for a casual work meeting I attended that day. You know, the kind of meeting where you don’t want to look very formal, but still representable. A sweater over a shirt is pretty basic, but there are a lot of variations with that pairing. You can choose a collared shirt and let the collar show, a V-neck sweater, a long-sleeved sweater, anything! Work with what you have.

As for what I’m wearing, I’m pairing a white shirt with this really cute round collar with flower embroidery detail half sleeve sweater. The white shirt’s job is just to complement the sweater. Another thing I like about this top is that it’s a bit cropped on the waistline, so it helps to define my figure more.

I have this thing with cuffed sleeve. Click here for sleeve cuffing tips.

This vintage bag is a gift from my mom. She said she bought it about 25 years ago but it’s still in a really good condition! It is unbranded, and the flap is made from genuine leather. This is probably a good reason why people say a good quality bag is an investment, because if you take a good care of it, it can last for a long time.

Accessories detail, gold bracelet and rings. My go to combination!
